Default The ORIGINAL Red Onion

Yes, it's a little funky. No, you may not think it's very cool. But it IS the ORIGINAL Red Onion, the one that started it all. I like it there. They have great food and it's more of a family-style place, but is still an institution in Palos Verdes.

Would that one qualify as a Rolling Hills restaurant? Whats the difference exactly between Palos Verdes Estates and Rolling Hills Estates and Rolling Hills?

Just saw your question. The Palos Verdes Peninsula is comprised of four distinct cities: Rancho Palos Verdes, Palos Verdes Estates, Rolling Hills Estates and Rolling Hills. And technically speaking, San Pedro is on the peninsula but is not considered part of "Palos Verdes". Rolling Hills is the only gated community on the hill and does not have any commercial/business entities. The other three cities are also predominantly residential, but also have commercial entities such as stores, restaurants, etc.

Thanks PaddyOh. I think I understood most of that...but the gated Rolling Hills thing was always kind of a mystery to me. Thanks for clearing it up!

No problem, Todd. I just saw your revision under Palos Verdes Restaurants and I also suggest you add Rolling Hills Estates under there rather than giving it it's own category. Most people refer to the hill as "Palos Verdes" anyway, so it might make more sense to place the three cities that have restaurants (RPV, PVE and RHE) under the "Palos Verdes" category. And let's forget about the gated city of Rolling Hills because nothing happens there anyway!!

Ok, so you recommend rolling up Rolling Hills Estates with PV? I guess it is all on that peninsula anyway?

Yes, exactly. Roll 'em all up under "Palos Verdes", but spell the cities out under the main header. Thanks Todd.
