Default Chez Melange is moving!

Chez Melange is moving into where Cafe Paradisio is currently located (1611 S. Catalina). August 31 Chez is closing, I am not sure if they are opening at the new location the next day or if there will be down time.

I believe they are shooting for a mid September opening in their new location. They are in the process of remodeling the inside dining room.

Chez Melange has been the eclectic go to for fine dining in Redondo Beach for over 20 years!
You can go casually dressed or dressed up and enjoy a very nice wine list and a menu with variety and flair.
They have dinner with the winemaker events (plan a taxi for the trip home), no corkage Tuesdays.
It has been located in the Palos Verdes Inn lobby since about the early 80's(?) and now with the pending redevelopment of the hotel property Chez has been forced to move.

So it sounds like Chez Melange is moving a lot closer to Hermosa/Manhattan? I'll have to check it out. When does the new location open?

It is only about 2 blocks closer to the ocean and 1 block closer to Hermosa! I don't have an idea of the opening, however "Rgrant" said above he (she) heard mid September.

As I recall, Cafe Paradisio had a outdoor patio, this would be an added benefit to Chez moving. Hopefully, they will be able to serve drinks outside!

The owners want to serve alcohol on the outside patio, but they need approval from the city first. I believe the issue will be discussed at the September 16th Redondo Beach city counsel meeting. If you want to help them get this approved you should show up and support them.
