There is a new restaurant in the South Bay that is damn good: Salt Creek Grille. It's in the new shopping plaza, just across from Whole Foods. I've already eaten at this place twice, and both times were really good. The first time I ordered prime rib, and the second time I had the baby back ribs. Both the prime rib and the ribs were both awesome, and I mean really good! The prime rib was cooked to perfection and the meat was literally falling off the bone. If you love meat, steak, ribs, fish, check this place out. Be warned, it is a little pricey (entrees run about $25-$35) but definitely worth it. Oh yeah, the drinks rock too, and they have a nice beer selection on tap. My only complaints are that it feels a tad too much like a chain restaurant (they do have 5 locations) and the mark-up on their wines seems a little steep...but it still gets my vote.

This place is fabulous! I disagree with the fact that it looks like a chain....it looks modern and nice. They usually have a piano player in the bar or live music...nice touch!

Saltcreek is cool. The outside seating w/fire pits etc. is nice. Their burgers are done right too. The last time I was there they had a great trio; piano, bass and sax. Cool spot to take a date fellas.
