Default Young Professionals with some questions

My girlfriend and I are going to be moving to the SB area in the near future and had a couple of questions. We are both young professionals looking for a fun, safe, clean place to live

1) What is the general differences manhattan hermosa and redondo? Does one have more young professionals? Is one more family oriented? Is there a general trend about which one is nicest?

2) Is there a certain area within each town that is the most desired location? Is there a certain area within each town that is the least desired location?

3) Is there a nice gym in the area that we can join?

Any info would be great

generally...they are all actually fairly similar. in terms of size, redondo is largest, manhattan 2nd largest, and hermosa by far the smallest. i would say that manhattan and redondo are most family oriented, just because they have a little larger lot sizes in general. although hermosa has some nice size lots too. they are all nice and each have their own unique feel

in terms of housing cost: manhattan is most expensive, hermosa 2nd most, and redondo the least expensive (although certain neighborhoods in redondo are very pricey)

in all south bay cities, whatever is closest to the beach is highly desired. if you have kids, you might be looking at what is close to schools etc..?

i like 24 hour in hermosa beach. the spectrum in manhattan beach is really nice, but expensive.

hope all that helps....todd
