Question An oddity.....

I notice that apartments in the LA Area often don't seem to come with refrigerators.
Any idea why this is?
Everywhere else I've ever lived apartments had refrigerators.
Now were I a cynic I'd suppose that sometime in the past some powerful local
politician was in the appliance trade and wanted to ensure continued business.
But what do I know.....

good question! the only explanation about the refrigerator thing that i can think of...is that the demand for apartments is so strong in the LA area that landlords can go fridge-less?

Default Further to the above

Been doing a little searching on the net.
Don't seem to be many fridge rental businesses on-line.
Have I missed something somewhere

There are several companies that rent fridges in LA, but from what I recall the cost of renting ends up being as much as buying a fridge after a year or so of renting?...some friends of mine had luck just buying a used fridge on craigslist and then selling it off on craigslist when they moved out of the apartment.
