hi stefany, if you dont find luck on this site finding an apartment, you should also try craigslist.org

many south bay apartments are not the big complex type apartments. i have found that most of the best apartments around here are in small 2-20 unit type buildings.
traffic on LA freeways is really bad, especially at commute time. i have even been stuck in traffic at weird times like 11pm. but...it isn't bad in the south bay usually! downtown LA and the westside get much worse traffic, for example.
the metro is viable, but only if you're lucky enough that you live and work near metro stops. (most people don't)
living in redondo and working in burbank is do-able, but be prepared for a LONG commute. (at least 1 hour each way, probably more like 1.5 hours some days) i guess it depends how bad you want to be by the ocean in a nice beach town?
you can find a $1500 one bedroom apartment i think, but just don't expect to be super close to the beach. hope that helps...
